How do I post a reel?

Open the reel from the "Ready to post" tab. Save or download the video, press "Copy caption", post it on Instagram or Facebook, then press "Mark as posted". On the Studio plan you can instead post it from ReelTempo with one button.

Post it yourself (Starter and Studio)

1. Open Reels and go to the "Ready to post" tab. Open the reel. Only reels you have approved are here.
2. Under "Post it yourself", get the video. On a phone, press "Save the video to Photos". On a computer, press "Download the video".
3. ReelTempo asks "Saved. Posting when?". Press "Today", or "Pick a date" if you will post it another day.
4. Press "Copy caption".
5. Open Instagram or Facebook, make a new reel from the saved video and paste the caption.
6. If you posted it without saving it from ReelTempo first, press "Mark as posted" so ReelTempo counts it.

Post with one button (Studio)

On the Studio plan, once your accounts are connected in Settings under "Connections", an approved reel shows "Publish from ReelTempo".

1. Next to "Post now:", press "Instagram" or "Facebook".
2. The button changes to ask again, for example "Post to Instagram?". Press it to confirm. A post can't be taken back.
3. The button shows each step, such as "Sending the video to Instagram", until it reads "Posted" with a link to the post.

Each platform has its own button, so posting to one never posts to the other.

After it is posted

The reel moves to the "Posted" tab, under "Active". If the date is wrong, open the reel and press "Change date". If it never went out, press "Undo" and it returns to "Ready to post". Once your accounts are connected, the reel's page shows its plays and reach.

If something goes wrong

• The reel isn't in "Ready to post". It hasn't been approved yet. Review it first.
• The video landed in Files, not Photos. On a phone, use "Save the video to Photos" and choose to save it in the share sheet.
• "Tap again to save" appears. Your phone needs a second tap. Tap it once more.
• A one-button post is refused. The reason shows under the buttons. Check Settings under "Connections".
